This morning I am doing my daily checks when I notice hundreds of bees (day after inspection and looking healthy) constantly grooming and writhing in the grass in front of my 8 frame Lang. I have seen paralysis virus before in my apiary, and initially thought that might be the issue, but the behavior of the bees is too dissimilar. They seemed to be in agonizing pain is the best description I can give. They were dying quickly. Hard to watch. Pesticide?
