I am following the suggestion that feeding is only for emergency situations since there's a lack of nutrients in supplemental feeding, but I have been looking at fondant recipes for emergency feeding and see some people recommend adding a small amount of vinegar to the sugar/water to "change the sucrose to fructose and glucose." Is this a correct statement? And if so, does this improve the usefulness to the bees? Most of the "recipes" out there that add vinegar use a very small amount of vinegar.

All the research I've seen on inverting shows it shorted the lives of the bees to do this with acid. Vinegar adds smell and smell is attractive to both bees and robbers... of all kinds.
