Moderators wanted

Postby Solomon » Fri Oct 14, 2016 6:34 pm

As you can tell, we have become a target for spammers. Naturally, I can't sit here all day waiting for spam posts to come in, so I need volunteers for moderator duties. We only have two moderators so far and both of us are very busy right now, and add to that this is slow beekeeping season so there aren't as many visitors.

At any rate, I wish I could tell the spammers that their time would be much better spent going after a forum with more users.

I've never been a moderator, but volunteer my services. I might need a bit of direction, but thus far it seems the main duties would entail deleting spammer posts, which I can do once directed on the how.

I usually check in on the forum multiple times a day. I would be more than happy to ban those spammers.

I would also be glad to help maintain the standards of this forum. It is the one place I have found that you can ask a stupid question and not get flamed.

Okay, you are all global moderators. Please delete spam and ban spammers by email address. Please do not edit posts or do other moderation at this time. The easiest way to deal with spammers is choose the dropdown that says "Delete all messages" from the spammer. Then ban them.

Thanks for the help guys. You're doing a great job, you get to spam much faster than I am able to.

Those spammers are relentless tho. I wonder if they generate money? I know there's a sucker born every minute but I can't imagine who would even bother reading past the first sentence.
